Start BCSE G4,5,7,9,10 ANPP clipping. All stations: 2mS, 1mE to NW corner of 2 x 0.5m frame. Clip with electric trimmers at ground level, bag as UNSRT. Collect SURFL. - Glori, Jordyn PM
Start BCSE G4,5,7,9,10 species composition transects. Three NS transects per plot, main only. Each transect ~2m west of the station flags and numbered 1-3 based on the station number. Stop about every 1m to identify and measure first intercepted plant. - Alyssa, Glori, Jordyn PM

BCSE gas chamber prep - Jon
Start cutting T3R1 prairie strip ANPP: Along each EW transect (South, Center, North): 2 x 0.5m frame, 5m south of strip center to center of 2m frame side (north side). Cut T4 corn paths to station flags - Jon, Emily

LTAR 18 gas sampling - Glori, Brian, Jordyn, Bella
BCSE 13 gas sampling - Jon, Sam
LTAR, BCSE Hydrosense sampling - Emily
T5 understory ANPP sampling, set LFLIT traps. NS trap… 2.4mN, 1.2mW of station 5 to SE corner of trap, frame oriented with short ends on the north/south; label ex. T5R1 NS EW trap… 2.4mS, 1.2mW of station 3 to NE corner of trap, frame oriented with short ends on the east/west; label ex. T5R1 EW. Collect newly fallen poplar leaves within frame as LFLIT (if any). Clip all biomass rooted inside frame with scissors – as close to the ground as possible. Bag as LIVE to sort in the field lab later (store in black bags in fridge). Use electric trimmers to trim back plants outside the frame to keep them from falling over the frame. Leave the frame in place and lay a screen inside it. Push the screen down inside the frame so it rests on the ground. Use clips (at least 6/trap) to attach the screen to the wooden frame on all sides. - Alyssa, Jon, Emily, Sam, Bella, Glori, Jordyn, Brian
Postponed field work, including LTAR 18 and BCSE 13 gas sampling, due to hazardous air quality outdoors from Canadian wildfire smoke.
Reinstalled ASP1 gas chambers after forage baling - Sam
Postponed LTAR 18 and BCSE 13 gas sampling due to hazardous air quality outdoors from Canadian wildfire smoke. No field work today.
The usb to serial pigtail between the rpi and the RF407 radio in the BCSE gas trailer appears to have failed. I replaced it with one from the ICOS system.
Rebury some T3, T4 T21 bags for station 5 as they were buried on the foot path in error, so moved further west between foot path and prairie strip.
